Graph Module - Future Enhancements

Scope

  • hardening and refinement of graph planning/traversal/semantic execution behavior
  • expansion of deterministic reliability under mixed local/parallel/distributed/GPU workloads
  • stronger benchmark-backed guardrails for graph hot paths

Design Constraints

  • graph contracts remain backward compatible within major release line.
  • traversal and planning constraints remain explicit and enforceable.
  • advanced execution degradation behavior remains bounded and deterministic.
  • semantic reasoning remains explainable and observable.

Required Interfaces

Implementation Notes

  • tighten parity and edge handling across local, distributed, and GPU traversal paths.
  • standardize diagnostics for constraint denials, fallback, and reasoning conflicts.
  • expand resilience tests for prolonged graph load and high fan-out patterns.
  • broaden benchmark depth for optimizer, traversal, and semantic/tensor utility flows.

Wave B B2: Knowledge Graph Completion (RotatE)

Priority: High Target: Q1–Q2 2027

  • implement RotatE embeddings with relation-as-rotation scoring
  • add negative-sampling triple loss for training
  • add link-prediction inference head for top-k completion
  • wire completion output into KnowledgeGraphReasoner
  • benchmark quality/latency against TransE baseline in the deterministic acceptance fixture

Test Strategy

  • unit and integration suites for optimizer, traversal, constraints, rewrite, and explain surfaces.
  • regressions for fallback/degradation and semantic conflict scenarios.
  • deterministic stress runs for high-volume graph workloads.
  • release-profile benchmark runs for mapped graph targets.

Performance Targets

  • optimizer and traversal control paths remain inside regression budgets.
  • graph hot paths remain stable at p95/p99 envelopes.
  • mapped benchmark manifests reach no-missing-case status for release gating.

Security / Reliability

  • maintain strict constraint gating before costly traversal execution.
  • preserve explicit fallback signaling for degraded advanced execution routes.
  • enforce bounded semantic reasoning behavior under malformed/conflicting input.
  • keep diagnostics actionable for production graph incidents.

Wave B Acceptance Gates (B2)

  • βœ… mrr β‰₯ 0.35 and hits@10 β‰₯ 0.55 on the deterministic acceptance fixture
  • βœ… inference latency ≀ 50 ms for top-20 predictions
  • βœ… no backward compatibility breaks in graph/reasoner APIs
