Analytics Module - Future Enhancements

Scope

  • hardening and completion of analytics runtime reliability under high-load conditions
  • extension of benchmark-backed release gating across all critical analytics surfaces
  • strengthening of distributed/federated and optional-integration safety controls

Design Constraints

  • public analytics-facing contracts remain backward compatible within major release line.
  • fail-closed behavior is required for unsupported capabilities and invalid runtime input.
  • high-load paths must remain bounded by explicit memory and latency envelopes.
  • optional integration paths must degrade safely and observably.

Required Interfaces

streaming/CEP interfaces bounded runtime state and deterministic degraded-mode behavior
distributed analytics interfaces explicit partial-result and failure contracts
serving/export interfaces capability-gated behavior with structured errors
benchmark integration direct mapping for all critical analytics paths

Implementation Notes

  • continue reducing proxy-only measurements by adding dedicated analytics benchmarks.
  • standardize error taxonomies across analytics, serving, and export components.
  • enforce consistent observability for rate, latency, and failure-class signals.
  • align runtime guardrails (timeouts, limits, queue bounds) across execution planes.

Test Strategy

  • focused unit and integration suites for high-load and degraded-state scenarios.
  • deterministic fixture tests for optional dependency on/off matrices.
  • regression tests for distributed partial-merge and timeout paths.
  • release-profile benchmark verification for mapped targets.

Performance Targets

  • sustained-load streaming and CEP p99 remains within release threshold envelopes.
  • distributed analytics overhead remains bounded versus release baselines.
  • benchmark completeness reaches no-missing-case status for release gate manifests.

Security / Reliability

  • enforce explicit authn/authz expectations on remote/federated integration boundaries.
  • maintain fail-closed behavior for malformed data and unsupported capability paths.
  • keep bounded resource policies for memory and queue-driven ingestion pressure.
  • ensure diagnostics are actionable for operational incident triage.
  • evolve from hash-based model integrity checks to signature/key-based trust-chain verification for model artifacts.
  • add production policy checks that reject non-TLS serving endpoints outside explicitly approved environments.
