Station Profiles

A "station profile" in KLog is the combination of your User Data (callsign, address, locator, zones, antennas, rig) and the Station Callsign attached to each log. Together they let you run several distinct "stations" (e.g. home QTH vs. portable/DXpedition callsign) from the same KLog installation.

Where it lives

• Your default personal/station data is entered in Settings → User Data & Station Profile: Callsign, Operators, Name, Address, City, Zip Code, Country, CQ/ITU Zone, Locator, Antenna 1/2/3, Rig 1.
• Each log (Settings → Logs) has its own Station Callsign, start Date, and Operators list — this is what lets one KLog database hold logs for more than one callsign/location.
• Per-QSO, the My data tab in the Input Block (Entering a QSO) can override the station data used for that specific contact.

Typical uses

• Multiple callsigns: create one log per callsign you are entitled to use, each with its own Station Callsign.
• Portable/DXpedition operation: create a new log with the portable callsign and locator so the entity/award calculations for those QSOs are based on the right location.
• Multi-operator station: list every operator in the Operators field so all callsigns are recorded, while QSOs are still logged under the station callsign.

Keep your Locator accurate — it feeds bearing/distance calculations shown in the Info Block and the awards/statistics that depend on your grid square. See Settings for the full settings reference.
