DXCluster
KLog includes a built-in DX Cluster client (a Cluster tab in the Bottom Block) plus a DX Assistant panel that filters and scores incoming spots against your log.
Before connecting, configure at least one cluster server in Settings → DX Cluster.
- Enter your callsign in the box provided ("Enter your callsign to connect to the cluster") and click Connect.
- KLog shows connection progress ("Trying to connect to the server", "Connected to server") in the cluster window.
- Type cluster commands in the command line and click Send (or press Enter); Clear empties the command line.
- Disconnect to close the session.
If the connection fails, KLog reports the host/port problem (e.g. "The host was not found") — double-check the server address configured in Settings → DX Cluster.
Enable DX Assistant (Settings → DX Cluster) to get a filterable, scored table of spots, sourced from your DX Cluster connection and/or from WSJT-X (via the UDP integration):
- Filters: Bands, Columns to show/hide, Follow my band (only show spots on your current band), age of the spot, and per-callsign hide/show ("Hide this spot" / "Hide these callsigns for the rest of the session").
- Columns include DX Call, Freq (kHz), Mode, Country, DXCC, CQ, Spotter, Source, Age, Status (worked/needed/ATNO), Score, MW Rank (ClubLog Most Wanted rank, if enabled).
- Per-spot actions (right-click or toolbar): QSY to this freq (tune the radio via Hamlib), Fill the QSO entry form with this spot, Log this QSO immediately, Copy Callsign, Look up on QRZ.com / Check in QRZ.com, Show to map / Plot the spots currently shown on the map.
- Refresh, Reset all, Clear all, and Score every spot again against your log (Score button) to recompute status after logging new QSOs.
- Summary indicators: Most active band, The band where you have the most to gain, based on your log, Number spots.
Spots can be plotted on the world map (Show Map, in the Main Menu Tools menu, or Send DX Spots to the map in settings), useful to visualize propagation.
