Progress Tracking
Progress is Buddypal's automatic completion tracker for your characters — it's reachable from the top-level Progress entry in the nav menu. It replaces the older, developer-only "Account Profiles" showcase: tracking is now open to every subscriber, and it's built for following your own completion, not for listing an account for sale (see Marketplace for the separate, team-curated account-sale listings).
Once a character connects, Buddypal picks up completion data automatically — no setup, no menus to click through on purpose. Tracked categories include:
- Records of Eminence — every objective your character has ever completed (separate from the in-game active-objective log; see Task-Manager-Automations for managing your current 30 active objectives).
- Zones visited, Home Points, Survival Guides, and Waypoints
- Monstrosity species/variants, Moblin Maze Mongers vouchers and runes, Puppetmaster attachments, Alter Ego points
- Titles, Outposts, Proto-Waypoints, Fish Caught, Atmacite, Meeble Burrows, Sheol content, Escha Vorseals, Ergon Locus, Emporox, and Abyssea Conflux
- The existing Missions, Quests, Gear, Key Items, Spells, and Skills categories carried over from before
Each category shows its own progress tab with an outstanding-items checklist, so you can see exactly what's left instead of just a bare percentage. Repeatable/timed categories (like Unity Concord or daily/weekly/monthly objectives) are excluded from your completion percentage so 100% stays achievable.
Your overall Progress Score is a straight percentage across everything trackable, shown with a letter grade. There's also a Collections only view that hides open-ended grind meters (currently just Alter Ego Points) if you'd rather your score reflect one-time completion goals only.
The Progress screen's My Characters list shows every character you've connected, automatically — no publishing step required. Each entry gets:
- A one-click Public/Private toggle
- A Copy Link button that mints a private, view-only share link for that character's progress
Public progress profiles show up in a browsable list other players can look through, sortable by most recent or by top score. Private ones are visible only to someone you've sent the link to.
Characters sync their progress to the cloud automatically in the background (roughly every 10 minutes, plus right after connecting), so a published or shared profile stays current without you needing to remember to publish again.
Use Copy Link to hand someone a read-only link to a character's progress — the same view-only sharing model used by Combat Builder and Event Builder profiles. Anyone with the link can view it; they can't edit it, and it doesn't require them to have Buddypal installed.
- Marketplace — some Progress profiles are also curated by the team for real-money account sale; that's a separate, limited process from the free tracking/sharing described here.
- Task-Manager-Automations — managing your active Records of Eminence objectives (as opposed to tracking lifetime completion).
- Getting-Started — connecting a character before Progress has anything to show.
