Craft Manager
The Craft Manager is Buddypal's synthesis toolkit — a recipe browser checked against your live inventory, automatic tracking of every synth you perform, and an optional automated crafting queue. Open it from Managers → Craft Manager in the nav menu.
This is unofficial third-party software, and using any third-party tool with FFXI carries some risk under the game's terms of service. The automated queue described below is explicitly opt-in for that reason — see the note at the end of this page.
Pick a craft — Woodworking, Smithing, Goldsmithing, Clothcraft, Leathercraft, Bonecraft, Alchemy, Cooking, or Synergy — and browse its known recipes (several thousand across all crafts combined). For a connected character, each recipe is checked live against what's actually in your bags and shown as:
- Craftable now — you have everything needed, with a count of how many times in a row you could make it
- Wrong bag — you own the ingredients, but synthesis only draws from your Inventory bag, so anything sitting in Satchel/Sack/Case/etc. won't count
- Missing materials
Every time you synthesize by hand, Buddypal records it automatically — no setup required. Each recorded synth captures the crystal, ingredients, result, HQ tier, and any skill-up, along with the surrounding context: your equipped gear, active food/buffs, the in-game moon phase, weather, and time of day, and any mog-house crafting furnishings you own.
The Stats view turns your recorded history into breakdowns of HQ rate, success rate, and break rate by crystal, food/buff, equipped gear, and furnishing tier. It also includes an "unproven factors" panel that checks old crafting folklore — moon phase, day, weather, facing direction — against your own recorded data with real statistical confidence, rather than just asserting an effect exists one way or the other.
Build a list of recipes and quantities, and the Craft Manager can synthesize them for you one after another. While running, it can:
- Automatically keep your craft food up
- Automatically sell off finished products (or other flagged inventory items) to keep bag space free as it goes
The queue is off by default and stays off until you explicitly enable it. It also self-disables if it ever detects something's off about how the game is validating its requests, rather than continuing to hammer away regardless. Like the automated queue, this feature carries additional ToS risk beyond normal manual play — read the in-app warning before turning it on.
The queue can also be run on a timer via the Schedule Manager, the same way Fishing can.
