Buddypal Wiki

Buddypal is a companion desktop app, mobile companion site, and Windower addon for Final Fantasy XI. The desktop app connects to your running game client(s) and gives you a multibox character dashboard, combat and event automation builders, a crafting manager, bag/inventory profiles, background NPC-trading task automation, a combat parser (DPS meter), GearSwap set building, automatic completion tracking, and a marketplace for official profiles.

Buddypal is unofficial third-party software, not affiliated with or endorsed by Square Enix. As with any third-party tool, using it carries some risk under the game's terms of service.

Combat Builder Build "if this, then do that" combat rotations that play themselves.
Event Builder Drag-and-drop automation for everything outside the fight — movement, NPC interaction, party support, reacting to game events.
Reactions Standing per-character rules that run independent of any loaded profile — often used to auto-load one.
Craft Manager A recipe browser checked against your live inventory, automatic synthesis tracking, and an optional automated crafting queue.
Progress Tracking Automatic completion tracking — Records of Eminence, zones, and a long list of other checklist categories — plus sharing your progress.
Inventory and Bag Profiles View your bags live, and automate treasure pool voting, dropping, moving, and selling items.
Task Manager Automations Background NPC-trading and shopping errands you start with one click.
Combat Parser A built-in DPS meter and combat log.
Marketplace Browse official Event Profiles and community-publishable Combat Profiles.
Mobile App A phone-friendly companion site for checking in on and remote-controlling your characters.

Beyond these, the app also includes an interactive Map, Menu Manager, Gearswap Editor, Bazaar tools, a Packet Viewer, a Records Manager, and Treasure Pool tracking — all reachable from the nav menu once you're in the app. See Getting-Started for the full tour.

In Memory

The term "BP" comes from Kanobrown (Lakshmi), who used it to refer to his friends. He passed away on September 3rd, 2021 — this project carries his name in memory of him.
