Keybindings
The live Hyprland configuration is authoritative. This page records confirmed ARCHMAC bindings and the binding doctrine.
| Binding | Action |
|---|---|
| Super + Shift + V | Clipboard history |
Standard Ctrl + C
|
Application copy |
Standard Ctrl + V
|
Application paste |
ARCHMAC uses:
Super + Shift + V → Clipboard history
Do not replace it with the common upstream Hyprland example Super + V.
Super + V is reserved/used for another ARCHMAC action.
Bindings evolve. A stale cheatsheet is worse than no cheatsheet.
To inspect the current binding set, use the repository configuration as the source of truth. Depending on the current config layout:
grep -RniE 'bind|keybind' ~/.config/hypr 2>/dev/nullor inspect the ARCHMAC repo:
grep -RniE 'bind|keybind' ~/projects/archmac/config 2>/dev/nullARCHMAC uses a Lua-based Hyprland configuration.
Bindings must be placed in the actual persistent top-level bind section of the Lua configuration.
A binding may parse without configuration errors yet still fail to appear in the live compositor if it is inserted inside the wrong structural scope, such as an autostart or spawn function.
After adding or changing a binding, verify it with:
hyprctl binds
For the V bindings:
hyprctl binds | grep -A8 -B3 -E 'key: V'
Do not assume successful parsing means the binding is active.
## Updating this page
When a keybinding is changed:
1. change the canonical config
2. verify it in a live Hyprland session
3. commit the config
4. update this page
5. avoid documenting untested prospective bindingsARCHMAC — Arch Linux + Hyprland for Apple MacBookPro9,2 · Main repository
