Paws
Paws can be used to prevent a pet from holding certain items or iteracting with certain blocks. Foot paws can be used to force a pet to crawl.
These recipes only support the following colors of wool: white, light grey, grey, black, red, blue, purple.
By default, paws make most blocks more cumbersome to mine, except for blocks which require a shovel which are easier to mine. The paws can be configured to prevent breaking or interacting with certain blocks and using certain items using a Paw Controller.
Right-click on your pet with the Paw Controller. You will be asked if you want to configure block interaction/breaking or item holding. In both cases, you will be taken to a screen looking like this:
Insert a block/item into the slot on the right side (the item will not be consumed). As a shortcut, you can shift-click items into the slot. This will put the configuration menu into Add mode. Select the first item on the list to allow interaction with only the block itself, or select one of the tags below to allow interaction with any of the blocks in that tag. The UI will return to Remove mode after making a selection.
In Remove mode, click on an entry to remove it. As long as the list is not empty, the pet will only be able to interact with/use the items and blocks specified. There is no way to prevent a pet from interacting with all blocks, as some blocks (such as beds) will always allow interaction even if set in the menu.
