Reject invalid index in slide.hide and slide.layout - #1254
Found while testing crates/engine/src/cmd/slide.rs:376 (hide); same pattern at slide.rs:445 (no existing issue): slide.hide with a negative or non-integer index hides the currently selected slide.
Cause
slide.hide and slide.layout read index with usize_param. That helper turns a negative or non-integer value into None, the same as a missing key. Both commands then fell back to the selected slides, so a bad index acted on the selected slides and reported success.
Fix
Both commands now read index with opt_usize_param. A present but invalid index returns a "not a valid index" error. A missing or null index still falls back to the selection. The regression test checks -1 and 1.5 for both commands and that no slide ends up hidden.
Verified
Regression test tests::slide_hide_and_layout_reject_invalid_index: fails on main without the fix and passes with it (cargo test -p deckcraft-engine --lib slide_hide_and_layout_reject_invalid_index).
cargo xtask ci passes except tests::east_asian_vertical_text_stands_ideographs_upright, which also fails on main without this change.
Not changed
Other callers of usize_param are unchanged.

Bug Fixes
Slide hide and layout commands now handle invalid slide indices consistently. Negative or fractional indices return a clear “not a valid index” error, and invalid hide requests do not hide slides.
When no index is provided, commands continue to apply to selected slides or, if none are selected, the current slide.

slide.hide and slide.layout now validate supplied index values with optional-index parsing. When index is omitted, both commands retain their selected-slide and current-slide behavior. Tests cover negative and fractional indices.

Summary
Optional index parsing and validation crates/engine/src/cmd/slide.rs, crates/engine/src/tests.rs
Both commands use opt_usize_param with command-specific context. Tests check that -1 and 1.5 return “not a valid index” and leave all slides visible.
storytold/deckcraft issue 1186: The issue describes invalid command parameter values being silently coerced or triggering fallback behavior. This change rejects invalid index values in slide.hide and slide.layout.

Before / after behavior
observed — Modified behavior in crates/engine/src/cmd/slide.rs: slide.hide now parses index with opt_usize_param and the "slide.hide" command context instead of usize_param; omitted indices still use the selected slides or current-slide fallback.
observed — Modified behavior in crates/engine/src/cmd/slide.rs: slide.layout now parses index with opt_usize_param and the "slide.layout" command context instead of usize_param; omitted indices still use the selected slides or current-slide fallback.
observed — Modified behavior in crates/engine/src/tests.rs: Added coverage that slide.hide and slide.layout reject indices -1 and 1.5 with the expected error, and that all slides remain visible.

🎯 Functional Correctness | Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Reject out-of-range indexes in slide.hide.
opt_usize_param validates the value type, but it does not verify that the slide exists. For example, {"index": 999} creates a target that the edit loop skips, then returns success without hiding a slide. Check the index against doc.slides.len() before editing, and add a positive out-of-range regression case.
