Adds nvidia.fabric.langchain.deepagents-code, a TypeScript process adapter that runs Deep Agents Code (dcode --acp) through the shared ACP runner: one process and one ACP session per runtime. approval_mode is auto or yolo. The adapter writes a per-runtime DEEPAGENTS_HOME/config.toml that names the key's variable but never holds the key, turns off update checks and reading a workspace .env, and limits the environment dcode inherits. dcode runs from PATH.
The runtime and session code follows adapters/typescript/kiro closely, so reviewers can diff the two. A follow-up pull request adds the terminal UI interface.
Left out on purpose: dcode_command and startup_timeout_seconds from #546 (start uses a fixed 60 s). The adapter doesn't repeat checks the descriptor's schema already makes.
Where should the reviewer start?
adapters/typescript/deepagents-code/src/configuration.ts, then deepagents-code.fabric-adapter.json.
Testing: the package's TypeScript tests (8 pass), a Python test that plans settings through the descriptor's schema, pack:contents, the catalog check, the version-stamping script test and the Harbor qualification test pass. The full pytest run passes except two OpenCode tests that need Bun 1.4.2.
Breaking changes: none.
Needs a maintainer: the npm package needs the trusted-publishing bootstrap in RELEASING.md, or marking as private, before the npm-bootstrap job passes.
I confirm this contribution is my own work, or I have the right to submit it under this project's license.

Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Added support for NVIDIA NeMo Fabric’s Deep Agents Code harness, with OpenAI model configuration, optional compatible API endpoints, and auto or yolo approval modes.
Reuses a session across ordered invocations and provides session health checks.
Added the adapter to the supported harness catalog.
Documentation
Added setup and configuration guidance, including Node.js 22.19.0 or newer, Python 3.14, Deep Agents Code 0.2.2, approval-mode behavior, supported model settings, and session lifecycle details.
Add nvidia.fabric.langchain.deepagents-code, a TypeScript process adapter
that runs LangChain's Deep Agents Code (dcode) as an ACP agent through the
shared startAcpSession runner: one `dcode --acp` process and one ACP session
per runtime, reused across ordered invocations. NemoClaw runs Deep Agents
Code through Fabric with this adapter.
- approval_mode (required) is auto, which runs dcode --auto-approve and
denies what its classifier escalates, or yolo, which allows every gated
action. No person can answer an approval during an invocation.
- The model is an openai model with an optional OpenAI-compatible base_url.
Each runtime gets its own DEEPAGENTS_HOME with a config.toml that names the
key variable but never holds the key.
- dcode inherits only a fixed set of process variables, runs with
--no-tracing, and has its update checks, automatic updates, price and
plugin refreshes, and reading of a workspace .env turned off.
- live, active and ready checks observe the ACP process.
runtime.ts and deepagents-code-acp.ts deliberately follow Kiro's runtime and
session structure almost line for line; reviewers can diff them against
adapters/typescript/kiro/src/runtime.ts and kiro-acp.ts.
The package joins the npm workspace, package-lock, check-package and the
adapter catalog. set_typescript_project_version.py now stamps it too: the
release workflow runs npm ci after stamping, and a member left at the old
version pins makes npm ci fail. The Harbor qualification plan lists it as
blocked until dcode is installed. The README is the adapter guide; the docs
page covers install and configuration and links to it.
Left out on purpose:
- interfaces.terminal, which follows in its own change.
- dcode_command: the adapter runs dcode from PATH.
- startup_timeout_seconds: the ACP session gets a fixed 60 s.
- Adapter-side checks of settings the descriptor schema already enforces;
Fabric validates harness.settings before start, and a Python test covers
the rejections.
- The ACP runner's fallback for denied process-group signals, which is a
separate fix.
- Publication in publish_typescript.yml, the consumer install check and
per-adapter justfile recipes; the npm package must be bootstrapped first.

Layer / File(s)
Summary
Adapter contract and configuration adapters/typescript/deepagents-code/deepagents-code.fabric-adapter.json, sdk/python/nemo-fabric-adapter-catalog/.../catalog.json, adapters/typescript/deepagents-code/src/configuration.ts, tests/adapters/test_deepagents_code_adapter.py, adapters/typescript/deepagents-code/test/configuration.test.mjs
The descriptor and catalog define the adapter’s model, settings, result, and health-check contracts. Configuration helpers validate OpenAI model settings and endpoints, select an approval mode, resolve the workspace, and generate runtime TOML. Tests cover configuration and planning validation.
ACP session and runtime adapters/typescript/deepagents-code/src/*, adapters/typescript/deepagents-code/test/*
The adapter starts dcode with ACP arguments and a configured environment. The runtime manages session startup, invocation, health checks, errors, and shutdown. Tests cover approval modes, session reuse, process environment, missing dcode, and cleanup retries after stop failures.
Package and version integration adapters/typescript/deepagents-code/package.json, adapters/typescript/deepagents-code/tsconfig.build.json, adapters/typescript/deepagents-code/LICENSE, adapters/typescript/package.json, adapters/typescript/scripts/check-package.mjs, scripts/ci/set_typescript_project_version.py, tests/scripts/test_set_typescript_project_version.py
The TypeScript workspace builds, tests, and checks the new package. Package checks validate published files and the runner descriptor. Version updates include the package and lockfile entry.
The documentation describes installation, configuration, ACP session behavior, and supported capabilities. Harness lists, navigation, and qualification prerequisites now include Deep Agents Code.

Reject whitespace-only model names in both schema copies.
The descriptor accepts a whitespace-only model, but selectModel rejects it during adapter startup with deepagents_code_model_invalid. Add the same non-whitespace pattern to the descriptor and generated catalog. The existing runtime rejection then matches the planning contract.

@cv Thanks for the clarification.
Publication list: I withdraw the request to change publish_typescript.yml separately from bootstrap. This agrees with the supplied release-policy guidance. RELEASING.md still requires maintainer bootstrap during the contribution PR, before a release tag. Complete bootstrap, verify trusted-publisher settings, add the publication entry, and rerun the bootstrap check.
Health levels: The descriptor, catalog, README, and test expectations now agree: only live is supported; active and ready are unsupported. This addresses my health-level concern. I inspected the changes but did not run the tests.

A failed ACP stop (for example a denied process-group signal) cleared the
runtime's session handle, so a later stop() could not retry and the dcode
child could stay alive. Keep the handle until session.stop() settles, reject
invocations while stopping, and route prompt-failure cleanup through stop()
so a failed cleanup there is retried too.

Review adapter and example changes for command correctness, config/schema consistency, artifact handling, and compatibility with the public NeMo Fabric contracts.
NemoClaw v1 no longer offers the Deep Agents Code harness
(`nvidia.fabric.langchain.deepagents-code`), and pins a Fabric revision
without its adapter. The LangChain Deep Agents harness
(`nvidia.fabric.langchain.deepagents`) stays as it is.
## Problem
The Deep Agents Code integration is on hold: its Fabric adapter pull
requests, NVIDIA/NeMo-Fabric#571 and #575, are closed. `v1` still pins
Fabric `e5b5ebf2`, which merges both, and builds, catalogs, documents,
and live-tests a `deepagents-code` image.
## Change
What users lose:
- the `deepagents-code` agent image and Bake target, and the harness's
entry in the bundled catalog;
- `examples/fabric-deepagents-code.yaml`;
- the `terminal` interface: apply no longer prints an `Open` command,
and JSON `interfaces` entries no longer carry `launcher` or `signIn:
sandbox_exec`.
The Fabric pin moves to `934ab7eca1ec9ac86a22fd24913f2e9d68637c4a`,
branch `integration/nemoclaw-pin-no-dcode` on `cv/NeMo-Fabric`. It
starts from NVIDIA/NeMo-Fabric `main` at `035bc2fe`, which has #568 and
#569, and merges the head branches of #570, #573, #574, #572, and #576,
in that order.
- #574's branch contains #573's and then removes OpenClaw's Control UI
to keep the two pull requests' diffs apart (`9855259c`). Merging both
dropped the Control UI, so the branch reverts that commit; OpenClaw's
files then match #573's head.
- The one textual conflict, in Fabric's
`docs/integrations/harness/hermes.mdx`, keeps #574's layout and adds
#576's `runtime.keep_state` paragraph.
- The regenerated `image/fabric/catalog.json` differs from `e5b5ebf2`'s
only by the removed adapter and the revision; the other 11 descriptors
are unchanged. OpenClaw's supported version is still 2026.9.34.
- The fixture image the HCL cases name, and the registration names in
`openshift-external-two-providers`, follow the new catalog.
`SignIn::SandboxExec`, the interface `launcher` field, and their CLI
output and tests are removed. Only Deep Agents Code's terminal used
them. Pi's descriptor at the new pin declares no interfaces, and no open
NeMo-Fabric pull request adds one: the two that touch Pi, #604 and #595,
change a health test and the README.
The four model-tuning tests from #14111 keep their check, and now select
Codex instead of Deep Agents Code. Codex accepts only `models.base_url`
among model fields and declares no model extension. Pi isn't used: its
`config.accepts` lists only `models.base_url`, but its model extension
declares `max_tokens`, which planning accepts as a legacy extension
field, so the `maxTokens` cases fail with Pi.
The Docker live suite and `cargo ci live-images` no longer build or pull
a `deepagents-code` image. The verify-yaml-deployment skill drops its
Deep Agents Code agent and terminal feature; verify-fabric-boundary now
carries, in its native-interfaces page, the pseudo-terminal driver its
`tui` check took from that feature. Fern's redirects for the old Deep
Agents Code quickstart pages stay.
## Beyond CI
- Fabric `934ab7ec`: its Rust workspace tests, except `fabric-python`,
which needs `libpython3.12` to link; its Python suite (3,282 passed);
and its TypeScript tests passed. The OpenCode tests failed because the
host has Bun 1.3.14 and the adapter needs 1.4.2 or later. `just
check-adapter-catalog` passed.
- GitHub's `codeload` archives of `934ab7ec` under `NVIDIA/NeMo-Fabric`
and `cv/NeMo-Fabric` have the pinned SHA-256.
- On `linux_arm64`, `cargo images build` built all 11 production agent
images and the reference image, `cargo images qualify` passed for all
12, and `catalog.py` run with the built Claude Code image's interpreter
reproduced the committed catalog. `cargo ci live-docker` passed.
- With the tuning check disabled, the three rejection tests failed;
counting a null extension as set failed the fourth.
Not run: `cargo ci live-kind`, and the images on `linux/amd64`; the
Kubernetes images change only by the Fabric pin.

Overview
Adds
nvidia.fabric.langchain.deepagents-code, a TypeScript process adapter that runs Deep Agents Code (dcode --acp) through the shared ACP runner: one process and one ACP session per runtime.approval_modeisautooryolo. The adapter writes a per-runtimeDEEPAGENTS_HOME/config.tomlthat names the key's variable but never holds the key, turns off update checks and reading a workspace.env, and limits the environmentdcodeinherits.dcoderuns fromPATH.The runtime and session code follows
adapters/typescript/kiroclosely, so reviewers can diff the two. A follow-up pull request adds the terminal UI interface.Left out on purpose:
dcode_commandandstartup_timeout_secondsfrom #546 (start uses a fixed 60 s). The adapter doesn't repeat checks the descriptor's schema already makes.Where should the reviewer start?
adapters/typescript/deepagents-code/src/configuration.ts, thendeepagents-code.fabric-adapter.json.Testing: the package's TypeScript tests (8 pass), a Python test that plans settings through the descriptor's schema,
pack:contents, the catalog check, the version-stamping script test and the Harbor qualification test pass. The fullpytestrun passes except two OpenCode tests that need Bun 1.4.2.Breaking changes: none.
Needs a maintainer: the npm package needs the trusted-publishing bootstrap in RELEASING.md, or marking as private, before the
npm-bootstrapjob passes.Related Issues
