What this adds

A new standalone build-guide page: WisMesh Repeater Mini 1W — a 1 watt (30 dBm) solar rooftop node that drops the RAK 1W Booster Kit (RAK3401) into the WisMesh Repeater Mini's solar enclosure. No soldering required.

This build was designed, photographed, and field-tested by community member prayingmedic — huge thanks to him! 🙏 The guide captures all of his build notes (5Ah battery upgrade, JST polarity caution, RP-SMA antenna pairing, printed mast brackets + battery spacer STLs, and his 5-day solar field-test results) plus technical details cross-checked against Atlavox's two RAK 1W videos (deep dive, power requirements) and the official Meshtastic docs (firmware target rak3401-1watt / "RAK3401 1W", verified against the device hardware registry).

(Preview site includes the companion PR's hardware-page changes too, so all links work end-to-end.)

Details

  • Page is intentionally not in the nav — it's only reachable from the Recommended Hardware page (see companion PR), same pattern as connect.md
  • 6 build photos by prayingmedic added to docs/assets/images/ (resized/optimized, glightbox-enabled, credited in captions)
  • Written for someone who has never built a Meshtastic node: exact parts/links/prices, step-by-step assembly, DFU flashing walkthrough, config table (Region US / CLIENT role / 30 dBm), EIRP compliance math (30 dBm + 5.8 dBi ≈ 35.8 dBm, under the 36 dBm US limit), cloudy-weather TX guidance, troubleshooting/gotchas (battery-mandatory internal power mode, never power without antenna, short BLE range)
  • mkdocs build --strict passes

Merge order note: merge this one before the companion hardware-page PR so its build-guide links don't 404.

New standalone build-guide page for prayingmedic's WisMesh Repeater Mini 1W
(RAK 1W Booster Kit / RAK3401 in the Repeater Mini solar enclosure). Orphaned
page (not in nav), reachable from the hardware page. Includes parts list,
step-by-step no-solder build, polarity caution, antenna-before-power warning,
firmware flash via rak3401-1watt UF2 DFU, configuration, EIRP math, and
prayingmedic's field-test results. Six prepped photos added.

Replace the standalone config table with explicit direction to follow
the How to Connect and Recommended Settings pages, keeping only the
settings specific to this build (TX power, power saving, Bluetooth).

Point build questions at the dedicated Discord thread where
prayingmedic answers questions, in the credit admonition and a new
troubleshooting callout.
