pdfcut

Cut PDF by page numbers: keep only the specified pages or, with -i, remove the specified ones.

Install

Install once:

uv tool install "git+https://github.com/zanybaka/pdf-cut.git"

pdfcut <input.pdf> <page_spec> <output.pdf>
pdfcut -i <input.pdf> <page_spec> <output.pdf>   # remove specified pages

Or launch the desktop UI:

pdfcut-ui

pdfcut doc.pdf "1,3,5-7" out.pdf      # only pages 1, 3, 5, 6, 7
pdfcut -i doc.pdf "2,4" out.pdf       # all except 2 and 4

Page numbers are 1-based; use commas and - for ranges, for example 1,3,5-7.

The desktop UI can also be distributed as a macOS app or DMG.

If a DMG is published, install it by opening pdfcut.dmg and dragging pdfcut.app to Applications.
