Why

The docs site's dev dependency wrangler 4.146.0 pulls in sharp 0.35.4 through miniflare. That sharp is affected by GHSA-wq5f-xc86-pv6w (CVE-2026-96889 in its libvips librsvg dependency), reported as Dependabot alert 14.

What

Bump wrangler to 4.149.0, the first release whose miniflare depends on sharp 0.35.5. The lockfile also moves workerd to 1.20261006.1 and adds esbuild 0.28.2, which wrangler pins next to vite's esbuild 0.28.1.

Trade-offs

wrangler 4.149.0 was published on 2026-10-08, two days before this change. miniflare pins sharp exactly, so no older wrangler carries the fix. Overriding sharp to 0.35.5 in pnpm-workspace.yaml would have kept an older wrangler, but it forces a version miniflare does not declare and has to be removed later.

Verification

Checked:

  • pnpm why sharp finds only sharp 0.35.5.
  • The docs job's steps (pnpm install --frozen-lockfile, pnpm run build, pnpm exec wrangler deploy --dry-run) pass locally.

Not checked:

  • wrangler dev or anything else that starts miniflare.
  • A real deploy to Cloudflare.

wrangler 4.146.0 pulls in sharp 0.35.4 through miniflare, and that sharp
is affected by GHSA-wq5f-xc86-pv6w (CVE-2026-96889 in its libvips
librsvg dependency). miniflare pins sharp to an exact version, so the fix
can only arrive through a newer wrangler. 4.149.0 is the first release
whose miniflare depends on sharp 0.35.5.
