Technical Steering Committee (TSC)

The Technical Steering Committee (TSC) is responsible for all technical oversight of x402. The responsibilities also include, but are not limited to: Coordinating technical direction of the Project

• Approving project or system proposals (including, but not limited to, incubation, deprecation, and changes to a sub-project’s scope)
• Appointing representatives to work with other open source or open standards communities
• Establishing community norms, workflows, issuing releases, and security issue reporting policies
• Discussions, seeking consensus, and where necessary, voting on technical matters relating to the code base that affect the project

Meetings

TSC meetings are intended to be the focal point for the technical community oand its working groups. TSC meetings are open to anyone to attend, unless in the exceptional case that there is a sensitive topic to discuss, which requires a closed session.

Meeting Cadence

TSC Meetings are held bi-weekly. A schedule of public TAC meetings can be found and the links to join can be found here.

Agenda

Propose agenda items by creating a new issue under ‘TSC Meeting agenda item’ for an upcoming TSC meeting.

Generally, topics for a TSC meeting include:

• Short, general updates of interest to the TSC.
• Working Group report outs
• An invited presentation on a topic of interest to the x402 technical community. This might be tooling and infrastructure updates, presentations from related organizations/projects, or other program updates.
• Strategic discussions regarding the x402 techincal community.
