The four remaining convenience proposals, as 1.41.0.

  • Quick replies: 💬 menu in the session header and Ctrl+Shift+1…9 in the terminal type a phrase and press Enter. Phrases are edited in Settings, with localized defaults. A dot on the button means the session is waiting.
  • Session timeline: a panel over the terminal's right edge lists the prompts read from the transcript, in the same incremental pass as the images. Each entry shows time, first line, last reply and image count. Clicking an entry scrolls to the prompt row, paired newest-first by prefix. The panel never resizes the pty.
  • Image markup: box, arrow and pen in the viewer, drawn in image pixels. "Attach to the session" writes the composite through cockpit:receiveImage and types the path, which works for remote sessions too.
  • Documents to a remote session: new cockpit:receiveFile, which requires control. It accepts only an inert-kind allowlist, with PDF magic and no-NUL text checks, ≤5MB, and shares the hourly budget. Files are written as devdeck-file-<uuid>-<name> in temp and swept after a day. An older host answers "no such method", and the sender reports that the host needs updating.

Verification

  • tsc passes; vitest: 1467 passed, 1 skipped (pre-existing).
  • New harness qa:cockpit-tools: 7/7 pass. It checks that typed bytes reach the fixture, Settings persistence, the timeline jump, and red pixels in the sent PNG.
  • qa:images-remote now sends a log file over a real link between two instances: pass.
  • qa:images, qa:image-rows, qa:perf-gate (unchanged numbers), qa:audit (0 a11y violations) and qa all pass.

…asted text, pass unused Ctrl+Shift digits through

Checked against 12 real transcripts: the compaction summary is filed as a user line
(isCompactSummary) and pasted text arrives wrapped in <pasted_content>; both showed
up as prompts. A Ctrl+Shift+<n> with no phrase behind it was swallowed with a toast;
it now reaches the terminal as it did before quick replies.

…mpty timeline

While one PC is on 1.41.0 and the other is not, the newer one asked the older host for
turns, got 'no such method', and showed 'no prompts yet'. Tests cover an older host for
the timeline, documents and images, and the document-sending paths in attachments.
