Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
In diverse classrooms or international webinars, non-native speakers may struggle to follow the teacher's spoken language at full speed, reducing the effectiveness of the lecture and the accuracy of their poll responses.
Describe the solution you'd like
Leverage Spandan's existing real-time transcription pipeline to provide localized subtitles:
- Student Preferences: Add a "Subtitle Language" dropdown in the student's room view.
- On-the-fly Translation: As transcription chunks are broadcasted via Socket.io from the backend, allow the student's client (or the backend) to translate the incoming text into the selected language using a translation API (e.g., Google Translate API or a lightweight LLM prompt).
- Live Display: Display the translated text as live captions directly below the active poll questions.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Relying on built-in browser translation tools, but these often fail to translate dynamically updating WebSocket text seamlessly and can break the React UI state. Native translation integration is required for a smooth experience.
