I'm Uyên, a researcher and practionist with a high interest in sustainable food systems.
My study background in a nutshell: B.A in International Business Economics (FTU, Vietnam) | M.Sc. in Agricultural Science & Resource Management in the Tropics and Subtropics (Uni Bonn, Germany) | PhD in Agricultural Economics (close to finish, Uni Bonn, Germany)

My career trajectories involve two main intertwined pathways:
📍 Consultancy/ Industry:
2015 - 2019: I worked in agriculture consultancy. The projects I was involved in spanned across Vietnam, Thailand, and Myanmar, assessing value chains in coffee, tea, fruits, and vegetables — with different focuses on water-saving irrigation, organic farming, and agrochemical traceability.
April 2026 - now: I work as a Sustainability Manager at a coffee certification company. Besides supporting coffee companies in Vietnam and China complying with export regulations, a major chunk of my working hours is dedicated to a project to assess, monitor, and improve climate and biodiversity performance of selected coffee supply chains in Vietnam.
