Role: Accounting & Business Analytics Intern, Delta Fabricating (Jan 2026 – May 2026) Tools: Notion, QR codes, Claude (AI-assisted documentation)
Delta Fabricating needed a company-wide, ISO 9001-compliant quality system with accessible process documentation for shop floor operations — without existing standardized documentation or knowledge management practices.
Method:
- Requirements gathering against ISO 9001 compliance standards
- Process mapping for 30 distinct manufacturing operations
- Documentation standards development for consistency across all process docs
[TODO: describe how you gathered requirements — interviews with operators, existing SOPs, etc.]
- Built the quality system in Notion, using Claude to accelerate documentation creation
- Created Process Documentation for 30 manufacturing operations
- Made documentation scannable on the shop floor via QR codes for instant access at the point of use
- Created training material and procedure documentation for the incoming AP/AR intern, and delivered full training
[TODO: replace with a screenshot of the Notion knowledge base structure]
[TODO: replace with a photo/mockup of a shop-floor QR code linking to a process doc]
- Delivered a scalable, ISO 9001-aligned documentation system across 30 operations
- Improved knowledge transfer and training speed for new staff
- Increased accessibility of procedures directly at the point of work (shop floor)
