Getting Started
Welcome to Kinexus! This guide will walk you through the first steps of creating your interactive story. We'll cover setting up the application, creating your first project, and understanding the main layout of the editor.
This is the recommended reading path for any new user.
1. Installation and Setup
Before you can start building, you need to run the application. Kinexus is a self-contained HTML file that runs directly in your browser, so there's no complex installation process.
Every story lives in a project folder on your computer. This step will guide you through creating this folder and the essential story.json file that powers your narrative.
Once your project is created, it's time to get familiar with your workspace. This page breaks down the three main parts of the Kinexus editor: the Navigation Panel, the Scene Editor, and the Player.
