Ley N.° 32421 is published but not yet in force.

Official Migraciones (16 Aug 2025): naturalisation residence rises 2→5 years + 10 UIT/year lawful taxed income; nationality by option (marriage) rises 2→4 years continuous marriage + migratory residence. The law begins to apply the day after publication of its reglamento (max six months to draft).

As of mid-2026 secondary practice guides still report the reglamento unpublished and Ley 26574 governing live applications. Public consultation on the draft reglamento ran Dec 2025; no El Peruano reglamento publication confirmed in this pass.
