ColorMag did a dedicated PHP 8.5 / WP 6.8+ compatibility pass this cycle (CMAG-557, colormag#255 free / colormag-pro#248 pro).
What needs investigating
This session's testing (WordPress 7.1, PHP 8.5) didn't surface fatal errors during extensive Playwright-driven testing across many pages/flows, but that wasn't a dedicated, systematic compatibility sweep (e.g. enabling WP_DEBUG/WP_DEBUG_LOG and crawling every admin screen and template, checking for deprecation notices specifically). Worth a dedicated pass rather than relying on incidental coverage.

Surfaced during a cross-product PR review pass; lower priority given no fatal errors observed so far.

Ran a dedicated sweep (WP_DEBUG_LOG enabled, crawled front-end/admin across all four themes). Found a real one: the homepage slider triggers "Trying to access array offset on value of type bool" whenever
wp_get_attachment_image_src()returns false — no guard before the array access, unlike Spacious's equivalent code. Filed as #79.iamprazol commentedon Sep 18, 2026
