Feature request: RGB/HSL mode for color picker controls (lower priority) #76
Feature request (lower priority): color picker controls have no RGB/HSL format mode, only hex.
Current behavior
All color controls use plain per-field wp-color-picker-alpha widgets with hex input only — no format switcher (checked all color-picker/custom-control JS and CSS — no RGB/HSL toggle found anywhere).
Suggested feature
Consider adding an RGB/HSL input mode alongside hex, for users who prefer working in those formats.
Confidence note
Lower priority than other requests from this pass — this is a capability difference from ColorMag's picker architecture rather than a broken feature here (there's nothing to be "broken," since the mode switch doesn't exist to begin with).
Environment
WordPress 7.1
Originated from a free ColorMag PR (colormag#257, item 7: "Color Picker UI Broken for RGB and HSL Modes"), surfaced during a cross-product QA pass. Checked across all four Spacious/Accelerate tiers — absent in all four.
Consolidating issue tracking: this is tracked going forward in Accelerate Pro as themegrill/accelerate-pro#37 (labelled free+pro there since it affects both themes). Closing this copy to avoid duplicate tracking.
