The Fridge Stole My Lunch!

submitted for the USYD Game Jam 2026

You are not so different from others in your corporate 9-5 office.

You, unwillingly or not, become a victim (or a perpetrator) of office politics.

You yearn for a promotion and to be in the C-suite one day.

You meet your KPIs because you can't lose this job.

You're a dime-a-dozen in your typical corporation.

But there is one thing which sets you apart.

You are a fridge.

How to play

  • This game primarily uses mouse clicks as its key input mechanism.
  • To skip the cutscene, click anywhere on the screen.
  • Clicking on items will move them between your stash and fridge.
  • Hide items in the stash so employees can't take them.
  • Use the shop to buy and sell items.
  • Hover over items to see their effects, and gain affinity points by leaving food that matches the likes of different employees.
  • Higher cost items more give more affinity points.
  • Gain 20 affinity points with certain employees to get a chance at being promoted.
  • Employees with negative affinity points will fire you.

Key objective

Your objective is to maximise your affinity scores with employees who can promote you, without falling out of favour with employees who can fire you. (Unfortunately, as a humble office fridge, you don't exactly know who's responsible for procurement in the company!)
