golangci-lint-action v6 ships a binary built with go1.24, which refuses a go.mod targeting 1.25; v8 is built against current Go. Golden files were CRLF-converted by autocrlf on Windows runners, breaking byte-exact comparisons; .gitattributes now exempts *.golden from EOL conversion. golangci-lint v2 removed the legacy default exclusions, so errcheck began flagging diagnostic writes to stderr and in-memory tabwriters.
