Superseded — this bump is now on main in commit 997e698, landed as one verified batch with the repo's other open Dependabot PR (#11).

@axe-core/playwright ^4.10.1 -> ^4.13.0 landed in full; nothing from this PR was held back.

Landed directly rather than merged for two reasons. First, this repo's gate only publishes from a push to main, so merging a PR verifies the bump with the very run that deploys it — a bad bump would reach the live demo before anyone could see it was bad. Running the gate locally ahead of the push inverts that.

Second, this branch was cut from a base older than cce76f4, so its diff also reverted that commit: it would have restored the update-type != semver-major condition on the auto-merge step and deleted the comment explaining why it was removed. Merging here would have silently undone a deliberate policy change. Landing the version bump by hand keeps that decision standing.

Gate run locally, mirroring the build job step for step: npm ci (clean, so lockfile and package.json agree), npm test (34 unit tests / 7 files), npm run build (tsc + vite build), and npm run test:a11y under CI=1 — 14 Playwright tests including the axe-core WCAG A/AA scans at desktop and 380px, which are the steps that actually exercise this bump. All green. package-lock.json was regenerated so CI's npm ci stays in sync.
