Ad-hoc SQL query timeout is too low for large tables #31

Closed

Description

@broisnees

Running SELECT * FROM <table> on a table with large TOASTed columns (e.g. resume_parsing — ~746 rows but ~429 MB across two jsonb columns) is cancelled by the 30s ad-hoc statement timeout ("canceling statement due to statement timeout").

Requested

  • Raise the ad-hoc statement timeout so heavier scans can finish.
  • Show a clearer, actionable message on timeout (select specific columns / add a LIMIT on wide-column tables).

Addressed by #22 (timeout raised 30s -> 60s + actionable hint).
