Review comments at @crates/engine/src/cmd/format.rs:
- Line 1051: Update the Paragraph dialog value for eastAsianLineBreak to default
to true when pp.east_asian_line_break is unset, matching layout behavior. Adjust
the related UI test to expect an untouched checkbox to write Some(true) instead
of Some(false).
- Line 819: Update the east Asian line-breaking toggle in the format command to
use true as the fallback when current_para(s).east_asian_line_break is unset
before passing it to on_param, so invoking format.eastAsianLineBreak without on
disables the effective layout rule on the first toggle.
Review comments at @crates/text/src/lib.rs:
- Around line 1361-1366: The non-starter handling in the break-analysis logic
must not override existing prohibitions from zero-width-space or slash/backslash
rules. Before setting allowed[i + 1] in the is_cj_nonstarter branch, require
that the position satisfies those existing restrictions, and add tests covering
both prohibited combinations.

so it relaxes only LB21, not other Unicode no-break rules. When east_asian_break
is false, rerun unicode_linebreak::linebreaks on a same-byte-length copy where
CJ non-starters are replaced with ordinary kana, map those results to character
boundaries, and require that relaxed result before setting allowed[i + 1]; add
coverage for the opening-bracket and U+2060 cases.

a:pPr/@eaLnBrk, @hangingPunct and @latinLnBrk were modelled, read and
written, but nothing could set them. Add format.eastAsianLineBreak,
format.hangingPunctuation and format.latinLineBreak ({on?: bool},
toggling the selected paragraphs like format.rtl) and an Asian Typography
section in the Paragraph dialog that applies all three together with the
dialog's other paragraph edits in one undo step.
The line breaker now honours east_asian_line_break too: Unicode offers no
break before a small kana or the prolonged sound mark, so 禁則処理 off
adds that opportunity instead of removing one, and a line may then start
with one (Word's 禁則処理なし). The property absent still means on, and
closing brackets and closing punctuation keep following the Unicode rule.
Tests: the commands set, clear and toggle on the selection and on every
selected paragraph, survive a PPTX save and re-open; the break
opportunities relax with the flag and the default layout is unchanged;
the dialog's OK and Cancel are covered by kittest.

Also from the review: the documentation dates are repaired (the historical rows keep their original dates; this PR's entries are dated 2026-10-20), and the three code findings from the same review are fixed in |
a:pPr/@eaLnBrk="0" (禁則処理なし) added a break before a small kana or the prolonged sound mark wherever the local rules allowed it, which also dropped Unicode prohibitions that have nothing to do with non-starters: "漢「ッ」" got a break after the opening bracket (LB14), and a word joiner (U+2060) or a no-break space (U+00A0/U+202F) stopped binding (LB11/LB12). Rerun the line breaker on a copy where each non-starter is an ordinary kana — one char for one char, so the indices map back — and add the opportunity only where that relaxed run allows it, so relaxing 禁則 lifts LB21/LB16 and nothing else. Also repair the docs headers: both progress docs carried 2026-10-17 as Last reviewed/Last updated while their new revision-history rows are dated 2026-10-20. Keep Last reviewed at origin/main's 2026-10-14 (that is the date the document was reviewed) and move Last updated to 2026-10-20, matching the newest row as every earlier update did. Tests: the new opening-bracket / U+2060 / no-break-space test fails without the second run and passes with it. deckcraft-text 83 passed; deckcraft-engine 337 passed, 1 ignored, plus 6 integration; deckcraft-ui-egui 218 passed, 4 ignored (the PR's two asian-typography kittest cases pass); cargo fmt --all --check and clippy --all-targets -D warnings on the three crates are clean.

Conflict: crates/text/src/tests.rs — kept both sides: the branch's eaLnBrk/禁則 tests and main's empty-line sizing tests (each block's closing brace restored).
Conflicts resolved by keeping both sides: - docs/ui-parity.md: main's newer header lines and revision-history rows kept, with the branch's 2026-10-20 Asian Typography entry kept after main's rows of 2026-10-22; the Dialogs row keeps main's longer PowerPoint list and the branch's Paragraph detail. Code merged without conflicts.

What this adds
DeckCraft already modelled, read, wrote and (for two of them) honoured PowerPoint's East Asian paragraph properties —
a:pPr/@eaLnBrk,@hangingPunct,@latinLnBrk— but nothing could set them: no command, no UI. A Japanese user could not turn 禁則処理 or 句読点のぶら下げ on or off, which PowerPoint exposes in Paragraph ▸ アジア言語の文字体裁.crates/engine/src/cmd/format.rs), each{"on"?: bool}toggling the selected paragraphs' property andenabledlike the other paragraph commands:format.eastAsianLineBreakeast_asian_line_break→@eaLnBrkformat.hangingPunctuationhanging_punct→@hangingPunctformat.latinLineBreaklatin_line_break→@latinLnBrkformat.paragraphDialogtakeseastAsianLineBreak?,hangingPunctuation?,latinLineBreak?(a present non-bool is rejected without editing; absent leaves the property alone).eaLnBrk: Unicode's line-break data offers no break before a small kana or the prolonged sound mark at all, so relaxing 禁則 means adding that opportunity, not keeping one — with the property off, a line may start with one (Word's 禁則処理なし). Absent still means on (PowerPoint's default), so the default layout is unchanged, and closing brackets and closing punctuation keep following the Unicode rule (they are protected by the Unicode classes, not by a deckcraft list — a follow-up if the maintainer wants them relaxed too).latin_line_breakandhanging_punctwere already honoured by the line breaker and are unchanged.Tests
