Keep leading bullet characters on outline slide titles - #1342
Found while testing crates/format/src/lib.rs:570-574 (outline_to_slides), with slides_to_outline at :640-645 (no existing issue): Outline export/import strips a leading bullet character from slide titles.
Cause
outline_to_slides stripped a leading '-', '*' or '•' followed by a space or tab from every line before checking the indent level. Level-0 title lines lost that text on re-import, although slides_to_outline writes titles unescaped.
Fix
Bullet markers are now stripped only from indented (body) lines, meaning level > 0. Level-0 titles keep their text. The existing test outline_keeps_leading_dash_text now expects the title '- Bullets' to be preserved.
Verified
Regression test tests::outline_roundtrip_keeps_bullet_prefixed_titles: fails on main without the fix and passes with it (cargo test -p deckcraft-format --lib outline_roundtrip_keeps_bullet_prefixed_titles).
cargo xtask ci passes except tests::east_asian_vertical_text_stands_ideographs_upright, which also fails on main without this change.
Not changed
Titles that start with two or more spaces or a tab are still read as indented body lines of the previous slide. The Markdown import and the export format are unchanged.

Bug Fixes
Outline import and export now preserve titles that begin with -, *, or •. These characters are treated as bullet markers only on indented body lines, and only when followed by whitespace, preventing title text from being altered.

Walkthrough
The outline parser strips bullet markers only from indented lines when the marker is followed by whitespace. Tests verify that unindented titles beginning with -, *, or • retain their prefixes.

Before / after behavior
observed — Modified behavior in crates/format/src/lib.rs: outline_to_slides now strips a bullet marker only when the line is indented and the marker is followed by whitespace. Previously, any matching line with a marker followed by whitespace lost that marker, including unindented titles.
observed — Modified behavior in crates/format/src/lib.rs: The existing outline test now expects an unindented - Bullets line to remain a title, and a new test verifies that -, *, and • prefixed unindented lines each produce preserved titles.
observed — Modified behavior in crates/format/src/tests.rs: Updated the outline expectation to retain the leading dash in - Bullets; the remaining assertion still checks the nested bullet text.
observed — Modified behavior in crates/format/src/tests.rs: Added a test that imports four titles, including titles prefixed with -, *, and •, and asserts that export preserves them and their prefixes.

An RTF list paragraph can place \bullet inside listtext. Because listtext is not in SKIP, the parser emits • into the outline. The changed level-aware parser then imports this level-0 marker as a slide title through both file-open and external-file imports.
Add listtext to SKIP. This is separate from the plain-outline title behavior covered by the new test.

Thanks! This reverses an earlier, deliberate choice: aa681ea kept text like -5 °C, but a top-level line that starts with a - , * or • marker still loses it. Before we change that, could you show what PowerPoint does when it opens a .txt outline with - Sale today as a top-level line (Home › New Slide › Slides from Outline)? If PowerPoint keeps the marker in the title, this is right and we'll take it.
I have not checked what PowerPoint does with a top-level - Sale today line. The PR verification covers only the deckcraft-format round-trip tests, run on main and on this branch. The PR description records no PowerPoint test.
Checked against RTF written by real PowerPoint (Microsoft Office 16, on Windows).
What ran:
Built a 6-slide deck through PowerPoint COM with the titles First, - Sale today, * Special offer, Empty-next, an empty title, and Last, each with body bullets, and saved it with SaveAs(..., ppSaveAsRTF).
Ran that file through deckcraft_format::rtf::rtf_to_outline and then outline_to_slides / slides_to_outline, in a scratch build of crates/format (cargo build -p deckcraft-format, nothing else). This branch conflicts with current main in lib.rs, so I applied this PR's code change in outline_to_slides (not its tests) onto current main and ran that.
Result:
main: the titles come back as Sale today and Special offer, so the leading - and * are lost.
With this change: they come back as - Sale today and * Special offer, as typed in PowerPoint. The body bullets stay at their levels in both.
Not checked: the PR's own unit tests (the conflict is in the test module) and the app UI.
Also, in answer to the question above about a .txt outline: I made a new presentation in PowerPoint through COM and called Slides.InsertFromFile on a CRLF text file with the top-level lines - Sale today and * Special offer. PowerPoint keeps the markers in the slide titles (- Sale today, * Special offer), so keeping them matches PowerPoint. One difference remains that this PR does not touch: PowerPoint also keeps a marker on an indented line (\t- Point stays - Point in the body), whereas DeckCraft still strips it there.
