Closing — blocked by the ecosystem rather than by anything in this repo, and CI now says so at the right step.

npm ci fails before a test runs. The caps, checked against npm today:

vite and @vitejs/plugin-react can now only move together, and electron-vite pins the pair below 8 — so this lands when electron-vite ships vite-8 peers, and not before.

Worth saying that this is a per-repo verdict, not a rule about the title: the same vite-toolchain bump merged cleanly in presentation-converter, which has no electron-vite in it.

No ignore: rule is being added, deliberately — an ignore covers security updates as well as version updates, so it would also suppress the CVE fix for these packages. Dependabot will reopen this when the versions move, and it will go green on its own.
