Hide people locally on Discord for Android — quietly, and only for you.
Their messages, reactions and calls stop on your phone. Nothing is sent anywhere, nothing is blocked on Discord's side, and there is no trace on their end — for them everything looks completely normal.
- Download GhostUsers.zip
- Move the whole zip — don't unpack it — into
Internal storage/Aliucord/plugins/ - Close Discord completely, open it again, then turn GhostUsers on under Settings → Plugins
Requires Aliucord, which is installed with Aliucord Manager. Updates arrive on their own afterwards, from updater.json on the builds branch.
Tap someone's avatar and pick Hide user (Ghost) on their profile sheet. From that moment:
- their messages never show up, new or old, with no notification and no sound
- their reactions are taken out of the counts, old ones included, and a chip only they left disappears
- they are never listed under "who reacted"
- no "X is typing…"
- a call where every participant is hidden doesn't ring and doesn't show up at all
- in calls they leave no tile, no circle and no empty slot, and they are muted on your side
- they are not in member lists, and the counters count without them — including "N Members" under a group in the DM list
- their missed and ongoing call rows in a chat are not shown
The same can optionally apply to anyone else's message that tags or replies to them.
Every hidden person carries their own switches: where hiding applies (group DMs, servers, one-on-one DMs), auto mute in calls, member lists, tags and replies. Open Settings → Plugins → GhostUsers and tap a name to unfold that person's section. The switches at the bottom are the defaults handed to newly hidden people, with an "Apply to all" button.
/ghost lists who is hidden and prints a short diagnostic. Only you see it — nothing is sent to the channel.
Notifications that arrive while the app is completely closed cannot be filtered. Google delivers those straight from Discord's servers to the system tray, where no plugin is running. While the app is open, or alive in the background, they are filtered.
To clear an old reaction the plugin has to learn who left it, so it asks Discord — the very same request the app itself sends when you open the reactions list. It goes to Discord and nowhere else, once per chip, and the answer is remembered so the chip is already correct next time.
Aliucord runs on Discord 126021, so the app looks a little older than the Play Store one. That is Aliucord, not this plugin.
The plugin source lives in plugins/GhostUsers/ and is developed in spixyy7/bd-ghostusers alongside the desktop version. The builds branch is written by GitHub Actions on every push — nothing there should be edited by hand.
