Plinth is a desktop personal finance app that runs entirely on your computer. Import your bank statements, let the built-in AI sort your transactions into categories, and get a clear picture of your net worth, cash flow, and spending over time.
No accounts. No subscriptions. No cloud.
- Dashboard — net worth trend, monthly cash flow, account balances, and spending by category at a glance.
- Transactions — searchable, full-text list across all accounts; filter by date, category, or review status; assign and approve categories.
- Smart categorization — a local AI model predicts categories automatically; approve or correct them and retrain anytime from inside the app.
- Bank importers — small parser scripts handle different bank formats (CSV, Excel, PDF); add new banks without touching the core app.
- Spaces — isolated workspaces shareable between multiple people on the same machine, useful for households or partners.
- Account summaries — manually record monthly balances for investment accounts or portfolios that don't export transactions.
- Demo mode — swap your real numbers for realistic fake data, great for screenshots or sharing without revealing personal finances.
