Aether Wallpapers

Browse 4K+ wallpapers from omarchy-themes and apply the matching Aether theme from the Omarchy bar.

Choosing a wallpaper runs the same silent Aether apply the site uses. Aether downloads the wallpaper, installs the theme under ~/.config/omarchy/themes/, and activates it.

Install

omarchy plugin add https://github.com/smillunchick/omarchy-aether-wallpapers.git --enable

The bar icon lands in the left section by default. Move it if you want:

omarchy bar move io.github.smillunchick.aether-wallpapers --section left

Use

Open the picker from the bar icon, or bind a key:

omarchy-shell shell toggle io.github.smillunchick.aether-wallpapers

Example Hyprland bind:

While the overlay is open:

• Type to search titles, tags, and theme names
• Use Dark / Light, 4K / 5K / 8K+, and color chips to filter
• Arrow keys move the cursor; Enter applies the selected wallpaper
• Escape clears filters, then closes the overlay

Requirements

• Omarchy with the Quattro shell
• aether on PATH (already packaged on Omarchy)
• Network access to https://wallpapers.hel1.your-objectstorage.com for thumbnails, wallpapers, and theme files

The bundled catalog is a compact 4K+ index of the public omarchy-themes collection. Applying a wallpaper downloads the full image and colors.toml through Aether.

Remove

omarchy plugin remove io.github.smillunchick.aether-wallpapers

Removing the plugin does not delete themes already installed by Aether. Remove those with omarchy theme remove <theme-name> if you want them gone.
