Inline usage comment in claude-blocking-review.yml still pins to @v3, contradicting the README's updated advice to use @v3.1.0 #118
Non-Blocking Review Concern: Inline usage comment in claude-blocking-review.yml still pins to @v3, contradicting the README's updated advice to use @v3.1.0
The header comment block's example uses: line reads claude-blocking-review.yml@v3 (line 32). The README was just updated to recommend @v3.1.0 or later (with a detailed comment explaining why the old caller-level Dependabot gate is wrong). A new consumer reading only the workflow file's own embedded usage example will get the old (potentially problematic) guidance. Since the comment is in the same file that defines the behavior, it's the most natural place a reader would look for usage instructions. Consider updating line 32 to @v3.1.0 and adding the Dependabot-gate warning there too.
Context
This issue was automatically created from a non-blocking concern identified
during pre-push whole-codebase review. It was flagged for tracking.
Fixed in #120 (merged) — the embedded usage-example comment in claude-blocking-review.yml now pins to @v3.1.0, matching the README. The remaining @V3 references (changelog note at line 60, versioning table at line 164) are #119's scope, not this issue's.
