Summary

Sets up releases and CI the same way the web project does.

  • release-please-config.json and .release-please-manifest.json: the same settings as web (include-component-in-tag: false, always-bump-patch, the same changelog sections), starting from 0.1.0. The release type is simple because the repo has no package.json. extra-files also updates version in plugins/shelltime-statusline/.claude-plugin/plugin.json, which is how Claude Code knows installed copies need updating.
  • .github/workflows/release.yml: runs release-please on every push to main. The marketplace is served from the repo, so merging the release PR is the release: it tags vX.Y.Z, updates CHANGELOG.md and bumps plugin.json.
  • .github/workflows/main.yml: runs on PRs and pushes to main. It installs Claude Code, runs claude plugin validate --strict on the marketplace and every folder under plugins/, and runs claude plugin test on each one.
  • README.md: a short Release section, including a reminder to add each new mod's plugin.json to extra-files.

Test plan

  • I ran the CI commands in a fresh clone with an empty HOME. Validation passes and all 25 tests pass, with no auth and no generated types.
  • Both config files parse as JSON and both workflows parse as YAML.
  • The Main workflow passes on this PR.
  • After merge, release-please opens chore(main): release 0.1.1, touching only CHANGELOG.md, .release-please-manifest.json and plugin.json, with no version.txt.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Release-please keeps a release PR on main and bumps each mod's
plugin.json version, tagging vX.Y.Z like the web project. The Main
workflow validates the marketplace and every mod and runs their tests.
