A scroll child drew by its own strata and level. So on the stock create screen the info text drew over the icon frames raised beside it.

In 1.12.1, SetScrollChild (0x786ce0) flags the child's subtree. The flat pass skips flagged frames (0x7659df). The ScrollFrame's HIGHLIGHT callback (0x787220) draws the subtree clipped to its hit rect, frame by frame in link order (0x76b3f0), and draws nothing for an empty clip. Picking keeps each frame's own level, clipped to the first unflagged ancestor (0x76b020).

benilla now draws and picks the same way. A frame shown or hidden inside the subtree keeps the others' order. The options window's scroll trough sits at its ScrollFrame's level, so the page still draws over it. Deviation: a scroll child reparented out draws once, not twice.

Tests cover the order, nesting, clip, pick and the stock create panels.
