Puppy Linux kernel is a linux kernel used on puppy linux distributions.
- Mandatory builtin kernel modules
- Layered filesystem drivers such as AUFS or OverlayFS
- SquashFS driver
- Filesystem drivers
- Required to be builtin kernel modules
- Storage controller drivers
- IDE, SATA, SDCARD, NVME, and USB mass storage drivers
- Keyboard input drivers
- Optional to be builtin kernel modules
- Mouse driver
- VESA driver
- FBDEV driver
- ACPI driver
- Its kernel modules are not included on the initrd, instead it was stored in squashfs image file as module. Which is search and processed by the Puppy Linux initrd during boot process.
