Permit lifecycle management for deep-sea polymetallic nodule extraction under the International Seabed Authority's regulatory framework
AbyssalClaim is an early-stage prototype aimed at contractors operating in the Clarion-Clipperton Zone who need to navigate ISA filings, environmental compliance, and reporting obligations without a six-month legal engagement. The concept covers the full permit lifecycle — from sponsoring state submissions through environmental impact bond escrow to ongoing compliance tracking — and automates the generation of ISA contractor reports from AUV bathymetry data.
- Permit lifecycle tracking from initial sponsoring state filing through active contractor status
- Environmental impact bond escrow management and status tracking
- Compliance dashboard surfacing regulatory obligations and deadlines in real time
- AUV bathymetry data ingestion to support site characterization workflows
- Auto-generation of ISA contractor report drafts from ingested survey data
None yet.
The project is currently a concept-stage prototype — a single-application scaffold without a dedicated backend or persistent data layer. Report generation and data ingestion logic are modeled in code but not connected to live ISA systems or external data sources. Structure will evolve as core workflows are validated.
