Documents the synchronous single-document extraction endpoint shipped in services 195.3.0 (services#3640).

  • Multipart request: file (must be application/pdf) + prompts (JSON object mapping each field to emit to the question answering it).
  • 200 answers exactly the prompted fields, null where the document does not answer.
  • Full status coverage: 400 (missing part / malformed or empty prompts, body names the problem), 401, 413 (shared upload byte bound), 415 (non-PDF), 502 (OCR/extract failure with reason).
  • Contract notes: stateless (nothing enters the file store, no pipeline), repeatable with different prompts, re-extraction of identical content skips re-OCR via the content-checksum cache.

Wording verified against the implementation and the staging deployment (values and statuses observed live). redocly lint clean — the two remaining warnings pre-date this change.

Synchronous single-document extraction: one PDF plus a prompts object
in the same multipart request, answered with one value per prompted
field. Covers the validation and failure statuses (400/401/413/415/502),
the statelessness contract, and the shared upload size bound.
