Barnacle is a fast, powerful mod manager for Linux.
In my development process, I find AI useful for brainstorming, planning, and carrying out tedious grunt work (e.g., calling ".await" on everything that needed it after a library refactor to make it asynchronous). It can be a helpful coding buddy if you know what you're doing.
That said, this is first and foremost a labor of love and a learning opportunity for me (and hopefully for you!), so I wanted to write the vast majority of code myself. I find little pleasure in the clanker vomiting out a bunch of code that I don't understand. I'd like to keep the amount of AI generated code below 1%, and the amount of extensively human reviewed code at 100%.
In addition to the above, I have Copilot set up to assist with reviewing PRs, and there is a DeepWiki page.
I ask that, if you wish to contribute, you attempt to maintain that goal of ≥99% handwritten code, so that we can uphold the ethos of human collaboration and community.
