User request: add more molecules to Real Molecules (ethanol, acetone, octane) #361

Description

@oliver-phet

I am a high school chemistry teacher and I regularly use your simulations in my classroom. I especially love the Molecule Polarity simulation because it helps students visualize how molecular shape and electron distribution influence polarity and intermolecular interactions.

I am currently designing a unit focused on molecular interactions, solubility, and cleaning chemistry, and the simulation has been incredibly valuable for helping students connect molecular structure to real-world phenomena.

I wanted to ask whether it might be possible in future updates to include a few additional molecules in the “Real Molecules” section, particularly:

ethanol (C₂H₆O)
acetone (C₃H₆O)
octane (C₈H₁₈)
These molecules are commonly used in chemistry classrooms because they connect strongly to topics like polarity, evaporation, solubility, and intermolecular attractions. They would fit especially well with investigations involving cleaning products, solvents, and “like dissolves like” phenomena.

Thank you for all the work your team does to create such thoughtful and accessible science education tools. Your simulations have made a huge difference in helping my students engage with chemistry conceptually rather than just memorizing vocabulary.
