…h the concept DOI The title is shortened from 100 to 63 characters, and the Description loses a doubled full stop. X-schema.org-keywords (open data, washdata, childcare centres, early childhood development, sanitation, hygiene, water supply, Malawi), X-schema.org-spatialCoverage Thyolo and Chikwawa, Malawi and X-schema.org-temporalCoverage 2021-08-23/2021-10-25 (the submitted_on range) are new; URL and BugReports were already set. CITATION.cff and inst/CITATION are new, written by washr::update_citation() with the existing Zenodo concept DOI 10.5281/zenodo.17540498 (deposit of 2025-11-06) and type dataset. _pkgdown.yml follows the openwashdata template (Pages url instead of
the repository url; Plausible header and funding sidebar were already
there); pkgdown/templates/in-header.html carries the JSON-LD from
washr::update_metadata(); README rebuilt with the DOI badge, the
licence link that still held the {{{packagename}}} placeholder fixed,
and the citation output now showing the real title; the pkgdown
workflow deploys the site to gh-pages, and docs/ and .Rhistory are
ignored and no longer tracked (switch the Pages source to gh-pages
after the first deploy).

Summary
Mechanical pass from the pkgreview 1.6.0 check script and the intake screen, part of the openwashdata cleanup tracked in openwashdata/owdata#20 (this package's deposit issue is #3). The package already has a Zenodo deposit, so the gap was the citation files, not a new deposit.
The data are unchanged. Version 1.0.1 with NEWS.md, because the v1.0.0 Zenodo record was cut while DESCRIPTION still said 0.0.0.9000.
Check script: 0 required failures. R CMD check: 0 errors, 0 warnings, 1 note (CRAN incoming feasibility only).
