Maintenance

We do have some maintenance to do to make sure that there are no security vulnerabilities within our application and that we have the latest packages for all of our Node packages.

Updating npm packages

To check which packages are updated, run:

npm outdated

To then update the npm packages, run:

npm update

Usually, updating these packages will also remove any security vulnerabilities.

Checking vulnerabilities

To double check vulnerabilities, run:

npm audit

Usually these are associated with packages that haven’t been updated, so running the commands above will usually fix anything in here.
