Adds slash commands that temporarily disable or re-enable OMP Auto-Learn without changing the saved OMP configuration.
This is useful when working on authored skills. Auto-Learn normally injects guidance that restricts skill writes to OMP's isolated managed-skills directory. Disabling it removes that guidance and the Auto-Learn tools for subsequent turns, allowing normal authored-skill workflows.
| Command | Behavior |
|---|---|
/autolearn-off |
Disables Auto-Learn for the current OMP process. |
/autolearn-on |
Re-enables Auto-Learn for the current OMP process. |
The disabled state is held only in memory. Restarting OMP restores the configured autolearn.enabled value.
omp plugin install github:officiallymarky/omp-autolearn-toggleRestart OMP after installation.
To make Auto-Learn enabled by default after every restart:
omp config set autolearn.enabled trueThen temporarily disable it when editing authored skills:
/autolearn-off
No configuration file is modified by the slash command. When the work is complete, either restart OMP or run:
/autolearn-on
While disabled, the extension:
- applies an in-memory
autolearn.enabled = falseoverride; - removes
learnandmanage_skillfrom the active tools; - removes the Auto-Learn guidance from subsequent agent system prompts.
Re-enabling restores the tools that were active before Auto-Learn was disabled. Other active-tool choices are preserved.
