If/once merged, a draft PR should be opened reverting the second commit, which gets merged when GitHub change the runners to use Ubuntu 26.04 by default.
There was some concern in the previous round of this to wait until the .1 release had come out. I think it's still the case that Ubuntu 24.04 users aren't offered to upgrade until after 26.04.1 comes out. I don't really have an opinion either way (even as an Ubuntu LTS user).
