A source calls you and tells you about a mysterious death. You want to find out who this person was and why they maybe were killed.
Also someone from your team recommends you a new prototype that might not be fit for the job, and you have heard it might still have some bugs, but also that there are plans it integrates with OpenAleph, which you use. Find the tool at a URL sent to you via DM.
Note that the initial items in the tool are merely for demo / example purposes. Feel free to leave/ignore them for now.
Step 1
The person is called Maria Nowak (Or Novak? You're not sure via phone...), apparently she's Polish. Your source says she died last month (August 2026), you're not sure on the exact date.
Step 2
You find a chat conversation from MN with Ryan Riddle from 15th of August. So you assume she was still alive by then. Another source tells you she was cremated by August 20th.
Step 3
She seems to have worked for a Russian company called "Zonk Institute" (at this point you may compliment the imagination of the script writer)
Step 4
It turns out that the company is not a company but rather a state owned organization.
Step 5
You start questioning the credibility of the caller. Your investigation and the first part of the user interview ends here.
