SelfSense Server

Desktop app for running SelfSense multi-sensor sessions: it receives live heart-rate and movement data from Movesense and Polar sensors, computes fractal variability (DFA alpha) in real time, and streams the results to clients via WebSocket and OSC — for group sessions, performances, and research setups.

Opening the app on macOS

The app is not yet notarized by Apple, so macOS will warn you on first launch. To open it:

  1. Move Selfsense.app to your Applications folder.
  2. Right-click (or Control-click) the app and choose Open, then confirm Open in the dialog.

If macOS says the app "is damaged and can't be opened", remove the quarantine flag instead:

xattr -cr /Applications/Selfsense.app
