The AMPT Probe Generator is an IP packet crafting service supporting health check packet generation for the AMPT passive network tools monitor. It is simple to deploy and provides the following:
- Simple web API for ingestion of packet probe requests and service health pings
- One off simple packet generation support
- Output of IDS rule for currently configured healthcheck packet format
Other AMPT components include:
- ampt-manager - Management service for the AMPT passive network tools monitor
- ampt-monitor - Sensor alert monitor core package for the AMPT passive network tools monitor
