This alone doesn't seem to do much. Would need to be included in resources, I'd think.

For other languages, the current way of copying from resources into user config dir looks quite suspicious. Wonder what's the point there.

Well, yeah, but done automatically it seems like just waiting for incompatibilities or upgrade problems.

And yes, if application update provides changes to keymaps, they are not overwritten, until user deletes the mapping file(s).
