…resolution (WS-A) Landing 1 of the v1.2 plan: wdym runs correctly under Codex. - Host-neutral emitted signal line; bench updated in the same change - "Present options and stop" ask step replaces hard AskUserQuestion dependence in the comprehensive gate and --init (chosen by tool availability) - State resolution walks cwd to repo root and consults $CODEX_HOME - agents/openai.yaml manifest; allowed-tools dropped; description triggers front-loaded for Codex's skills-list truncation - init/help/commands/heal made host-aware (Codex global-only per D7) Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…ode and Codex (WS-B) Landing 2 of the v1.2 plan. - Dependency-free Node CLI: host detection, Claude + Codex wiring, symlinked Codex skill path with copy fallback, single canonical pref - Idempotent by command text; collapses the real-world duplicate hook pair - Codex trust notice printed last on every Codex-touching run - --doctor / --uninstall; npm files allowlist + prepublishOnly bench gate - Verified: 131-assertion sandbox matrix + 54 adversarial assertions; three bugs fixed in review (over-broad hook dedupe, duplicate contract blocks, non-object settings overwrite) Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…otes (WS-C/WS-D) Landing 3 of the v1.2 plan. - README: npx wdym-prompt as primary install, install.sh demoted to frozen Claude-only, Codex requirements note, three-way comparison table - README: Mermaid flow diagram (default theme, parse-checked) with a four-point host divergence table - ARCHITECTURE: new Two-host model section; ask-step gate; file map - llms.txt host-neutral; RELEASES.md v1.2.0 entry - Review fixes: ambiguous-vs-degraded verdict in the diagram; --doctor documented as reporting Codex trust "unknown" (not readable from disk) Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…px installer - install.sh and bin/wdym-prompt.js now write byte-identical contract text; the one-line flap between installers is gone - Dev repo CLAUDE.md aligned to the same wording - Sandbox-verified: stale block refreshed in place, re-run already-current, npx over install.sh leaves exactly one block; detect bench green - Live-verification test plan added as improve/v1.2-test.md (untracked by design, improve/ is gitignored) Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Why
wdym assumed one host: Claude Code. Under Codex CLI the engine works but the plumbing doesn't — no
AskUserQuestion, different skill path, different hook and trust files. v1.2 makes wdym run correctly on either host, gives both hosts one install command, and makes the mental model visible.Implements
